Description
The Museum of English Rural Life is one of the best things to do in Reading. Whether on your own or with friends and family, discover our new immersive galleries, research our collections, refresh in our café and relax in our garden.
They have plenty of outdoor seating in our beautiful urban garden, including tables on the patio and picnic benches for your use, now with brand-new parasols to protect you in style from sun, rain and (possibly) snow. From 18th May, we have also introduced some indoor seating.
As always, the garden offers a peaceful and safe place to relax, picnic, and play. From benches in the herb garden, to a large lawn, raised beds and play-on tractor, there’s space for all visitors to spread out and enjoy. It is a magical place to spend some time with a coffee and a book, or to explore with all the family.
They are a part of the University of Reading and work with Reading Museum as the Arts Council England-funded Museums Partnership Reading.
